Who says a work sari has to be drab or boring? If you want to wear some homegrown weaves to your next budget meeting, skip the monochrome and go for vibrant options. Kolkata label Aankona Design Studio is making contemporary jamdani and khadi cotton saris that are work-friendly and can also be styled for all seasons.
You’ll spot some naturally dyed saris, traditional kantha stitch weaves, tie-dye saris, Gujarati stitch numbers, jamdani and kalamkari. Vidya Balan was recently spotted in a breezy white sari by the label.
