Guilty Minds actor Chitrangada Satarupa’s label Candy Closet just came up with the snazziest upcycled collection. Cosmos 89 is a gender-fluid capsule collection that offers clothes, upcycled from a mix of sarees in luscious brocade silks, fresh linen and cotton silk. The line has versatile, pairable pieces in a range of vibrant colours.
We spotted a tailored brocade silk crop top embossed with hook button enclosures, a vintage-style fitted dress with puffed shoulders and delicate pleats, a hot-pink Venoice cami-style top (made from a light cotton silk saree) with an asymmetrical hemline, a ruched bust, thin gold embroidery and an adjustable back.
