Aashna Singh and Sneha Saksena’s jewellery label, The Olio Stories, is known for wearable statement pieces that are conceived as modern heirlooms. Their festive line—Rani—is inspired by the stories of noteworthy names from history, such as Rani Chennamma, Rani Padmini, Maharani Tarabai and Queen Didda. The Chand earrings from the line-up are chandelier danglers featuring hand-made mini crescent moons and have been made using the ancient lost-wax casting method that originated in Jaipur.
The earrings are a daring cocktail statement that also balances some stylised Nizami design influences and the chic chain-link detailing adds breathiness to the number. They can be worn as standalone pieces or can be paired with some sleeker gold-toned jewellery. They are ideal for after-dark Diwali soirees or even for the pre-bridal memo.
