Sally Rooney’s third novel

The bestselling author of ‘Normal People’ is back with a delightful new read

Beautiful World, Where Are You, by Sally Rooney, is an absorbing story that is quietly contemplative in the questions that it poses. Rooted around the lives of four characters – Alice, Felix, Eileen and Simon – the book is as moving as it is thought provoking. While it takes time to ease into the story, it picks up once Alice asks Felix to accompany her to Rome. In Felix, the author has masterfully created a character that is lovable for (not despite) his relentless inquisitiveness. In many ways, Felix is the sweetheart of the story – he drives the plot forward as he breathes back life into conflicts from long ago, and the readers love him for it.

Sally Rooney shot to fame with her multimillion copy bestseller Normal People, which had been longlisted for the Booker Prize in 2018. In Beautiful World, Where Are You, she returns with her lucid writing and vivid metaphors to create an experience that lures the reader in, and holds their attention until the very end.
