George Saunders returns to the world of shorts after over a decade with Liberation Day published by Bloomsbury Publishing in October 2022. A collection of nine stories, the collection features stories that view the world with attention and generosity. They talk about happiness, grief, reality, subordination and explore human relationships like never before.

In Mother’s Day two women reminisce about the same man they had loved while Love Letter is an address from a grandfather to his grandson. These and more such heartfelt entries make up the collection which binds socio-politics, human relations, reality and aspirations together.
