New book alert, bibliophiles! Daisy Dunn’s latest edited book is up for grabs at the Kolkata store of Bahrisons Booksellers. As described on Bahrison Kolkata’s Instagram account, Of Gods and Men is “An anthology of classical literature, both non-fiction and fiction, bringing together one hundred stories from the rich diversity of the literary canon of ancient Greece and Rome.”
Dunn also took to her Instagram handle introducing the book and wrote, “My idea was to curate a collection of classical stories translated from the original texts themselves. Featuring the efforts of W. B. Yeats, Anne Carson, Queen Elizabeth I, Ted Hughes and me, to name just a few, and everything from the tale of the Cyclops to the Geese on the Capitol.”
