While the nip in the air is still present and while the aroma of khejur gur and the feeling of Poush Parbon and Sankranti are still lingering, there’s still time to make some delicious pithe. And what better than a fluffy, soft patishapta with a scrumptious coconut-gur filling.

Popular Kolkata food and travel blogger-duo Anindya and Madhushree’s channel Pikturenama is full of recipes for mouth-watering dishes including many Bengali delicacies. In their latest Instagram post, is a recipe for the quintessentially Bengali winter pithe patishapta.

This version of the pithe is made with a sweet coconut and jaggery (nolen gur) filling and is just in time for continued Poush Sankranti festivities. Try your hand at making some pithe for friends and family this season.
