Kolkata’s most anticipated lifestyle exhibition is back. Art in Life, held annually at the Centre of International Modern Art, is a one-stop destination for all the wonders of Indian creativity — be it the magic of sarees by master weavers or the allure of tribal handicrafts. This year, CIMA is showcasing the intricate work of two master jewellers from Rajasthan — Vinesh Kumar Maheshwari of Mireya Jewels, and the veteran designer of temple jewellery, Kundan Lal Verma. Their quest to bring “the jewellery worn by the gods” to the people of India has resulted in an exhibition featuring stunning pieces like this necklace; in it, one can see a miniature painting encased in enamel, polki, rubies, uncut diamonds and emeralds from Mozambique. This, and many other pieces, are on display at CIMA. Go check it out now!
Date: The jewellery exhibit is on till September 9
Time: 11 am to 8 pm
Address: CIMA, 2nd Floor, Sunny Towers, 43, Ashutosh Chowdhury Ave, Ballygunge, Kolkata, West Bengal 700019
