Kolkata, there’s a comic con coming to town this March!

Gear up for cosplay and comics at Hote Pattam, organised by Kolkata Centre of Creativity and Starmark

Did you sigh wistfully as you watched Howard, Sheldon and crew make plans for comic con on The Big Bang Theory? Well, sigh no more, because there’s a comic con happening in Kolkata very soon. 

The Kolkata Centre of Creativity and Starmark have collaborated to host Hote Pattam on March 3. The event’s name is inspired by Kafi Khan’s funny comics, which are on display at KCC’s Comics of Bengal exhibition.

The comic convention and cosplay contest is the perfect opportunity to live out all your pop-culture moments. If you have a killer idea for a costume, you can participate in the contest. You need to plan a little performance, and have to register in advance by simply filling up a form with your details and the details of your costume. If you are planning to use any audio-visual equipment as part of your presentation, add those details as well. The last day for registrations is Saturday, March 2.

For all those who want to just have a fun day out without being part of the contest, you can simply visit to spend the day with fellow fans and comic enthusiasts — don’t forget to dress up as your favourite pop-culture icon!
