The KCC Arts Laboratory 7.0 is set to host a site-specific experimental performance titled Ravan Reloaded, on August 31 at 6:30 pm at Kolkata Centre for Creativity (KCC). The performance has been written, designed and directed by Debasish Ray. Through the performance, one can see the mythological figure of Ravan changing shades under the pressures of the social construct. It is a modern re-telling focusing on a narrative of the ‘bad guy’ questioning the ethics and morals of the society which pushes an individual to make a choice between the good and the bad. Passes for the event, priced at Rs 150, can be collected from the venue or through the KCC website.
