Traffic restrictions will be imposed on several roads in Kolkata, mostly on and around Park Street in the central business district, on December 31 and January 1, keeping in mind the pedestrian movement and the pressure of vehicles on stretches that remain crowded with revellers. Every year thousands of people descend on Park Street to welcome the New Year.

The Telegraph lists the restrictions as decided by Kolkata police.
