Kolkata Traffic Police posted notifications about traffic curbs due to Republic Day parade on Thursday (26.01.23). All traffic restrictions have been removed and Red Road has been released for vehicular traffic following the conclusion of the Republic Day parade.
The following roads were closed to traffic:

- Mayo Road (from Jawaharlal Nehru Road crossing)
- New Road
- Hospital Road (East and West)
- Lovers Lane
- Casuarina Avenue
- Kidderpore Road from Ghora Pass to J & N Island (except Bridge bound vehicles and AJC ramp vehicles)
- Queensway
- Esplanade Ramp
- Plassey Gate Road
Bus hits truck
A mother and son travelling in a bus were injured when the vehicle allegedly collided with a small truck on Strand Road on Wednesday afternoon. Asima Begum, 26, and her son Sheikh Osman Ali, 10, residents of Howrah, were treated at SSKM Hospital. Both drivers have been arrested.
