Viral sensational hit singer of Kacha Badam, Bhuban Badyakar, met with a car accident on Monday, and was immediately rushed to Suri Super Specialty Hospital, Birbhum.
The singer hurt his chest when he was learning to drive his recently purchased vehicle.
Speaking to My Kolkata, the superintendent of the hospital, Nilanjan Mondal confirmed the news. “We conducted a few tests. There are no visible signs of injury and his condition is stable now.” The singer has been referred to Burdwan Medical College & Hospital for further treatment.
The former peanut seller from Birbhum, West Bengal, went viral early this year with his peppy jingle, Kacha Badam, which has attracted the attention of social media users around the world, including many celebrities like popular television actress Rupali Ganguli and Big Boss contestant Urfi Javed, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, and Instagram sensation frenchman Jika, among others. In a recent interview with My Kolkata, he said, “Whenever I leave home to go anywhere, my wife gets very upset. My son also worries about how I will travel and where I’ll stay.”
Badyakar also performed at Someplace Else, The Park to a full house and was recently felicitated by the West Bengal police.
His video on My Kolkata’s YouTube channel garnered 1,725,680 views.
