Ushoshi toured the exhibition and tried on some of the gorgeous diamond sets at Alankaran. “The gem and jewellery industry has been known to put India on the international map and an exhibition like this happening in Calcutta is an amazing initiative. Bengal’s jewellery is known for its craftsmanship and when brands from outside the state come here, they give you a taste of the diversity of designs from other parts of the country. For the first time, I have seen a lot of lab-grown diamond stalls here and it’s amazing. Today, I am wearing Alankaran jewellery and I am in love with the design,” said Ushoshi.
