Kamet: The joint venture between Peak Spirits and Piccadily Distillery was created with master blenders Nancy Fraley and Surrinder Kumar. The new-age whisky is aged in wine, bourbon and sherry casks which lend to its blend, a fruity profile with oaky, spice-forward notes and top notes of sweet dark chocolate. It’s ideal for those who want a warm, complex and nutty finish with a balanced, sherried sweetness. Price: Rs 2,999 for 750ml

Amrut Fusion: This crackling and smokey Indian whisky is made with Indian barley and Scottish peated malt from Scotland. The ‘fusion’ refers to the marriage of 25% cask strength peated single malt and 75% cask strength unpeated single malt. On the nose, this fusion offers some big, oaky and candied notes, but it’s the interesting finish that really takes the cake. Price: Rs 3,340 for 750ml

Paul John Edited: Created by Goa-based master distiller Michael D’Souza, this single malt uses Indian six-row barley as well as peated Scottish barley. The signature cocoa and honeyed notes are laced with espresso and boast a subtle smokiness. This amber-gold whisky is a great pick for anyone who appreciates gentle peaty notes. Rampur Double Cask: Distilled by Radico Khaitan Limited, one of the largest and oldest IMFL manufacturers in India, this full-bodied number offers some tropical notes on the nose. Much like Paul John and Amrut, Rampur also uses six-row barley which is key to its graininess. Matured in double oak wood barrels, this delicate whisky is versatile and a crowd-pleaser. Indri-Trini: Launched late in 2021, this single malt won a Silver in the International Wine and Spirits Competition 2022. Produced in three different wooden barrels, (bourbon, wine and PX sherry casks), this Indian whisky is velvety on the tongue and offers a mellow aroma with hints of black tea.
