Trust young actors like Evan Mock to add a fresh element to the red carpet. The Gossip Girl actor combined corset, ruffled necklines and traditional suiting so smartly that it blew our mind.

Shawn Mendes looked like a medieval Prince Charming in a Tommy Hilfiger navy blue long coat with maroon sleeves. While Twitterati quickly linked his look to that of Doctor Strange, probably due to the navy-maroon ornamental buttons and upturned collar coat, but to us he looked like a handsome prince rocking painted nails and finger rings like a pro.

Paying homage to the working class or the immigrants of the Gilded Age was actor Riz Ahmed. He wore an open blue jacket with a white vest and trousers with working boots. Bravo!

Singer Jack Harlow’s brown satin suit was a head-turner and it spelled luxury all over.

Alessandro Michele and Jared Leto turned up as the Gucci gang, twinning! The beige suits had floral motifs, red tie, white shirt and they accessorised the look with matchy black gloves, sunglasses and bags.

Co-host Ryan Reynolds knows how to rock it without going overboard. Complementing his wife Blake Lively, Ryan opted for a classic tux in chocolate brown velvet, Omega watch and white bow-tie by Ralph Lauren.
