London, Aug. 10 (PTI): Actor Keira Knightley has split with her boyfriend Jamie Dornan after dating for more than two years.

The 20-year-old starlet’s films include Bend it Like Beckham, the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, King Arthur and Love Actually.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, friends of the couple blame the 22-year-old Dornan’s acting ambitions for the break-up.

Knightley reportedly helped Dornan get a role as a courtier in a forthcoming movie about the tragic French Queen Marie Antoinette, alongside Kirsten Dunst.

There was friction between the two when Knightley moved out of her parents’ home in Teddington, west London and bought a ?650,000 -apartment overlooking Hyde Park ? and Dornan immediately moved in.

Within weeks, it was obvious that they felt they needed their own space and he bought an even larger flat for himself in Maida Vale.

Knightley remained tight-lipped about the split, the tabloid said.
