The two-day event, which will be organised by Students' Association for Promotion of Personnel Management, Human Resource and Industrial Relations (Sapphire), will bring eminent academics and industry captains on a common platform to discuss various topics related to HR.
The theme of the conference, which will also address issues like competencies in digital workspace and HR analytics, will be Social HR and Technological Applications.
Industry stalwarts like ABG Group president (HR) S.K. Dutt, Wipro chief learning officer Abhijit Bahaduri, SAP Labs India director (HR) T. Shivaram, People Matters CEO Esther Martinez and People Strong CEO Pankaj Bansal among others will attend the conference.
'HR management plays a key role in ensuring that a company performs well. It involves strategic management of employees, who individually and collectively contribute to the fulfilment of objectives of an organisation,' XLRI director Father E. Abraham said.
'Today, in this era of digital evolution, it is essential for HR professionals to realise the impact of the fast-paced, ever-changing digitalisation taking place in their jobs and workplaces. During the conference, we will look forward to deliberating on new directions and development of trends within the HR domain across industries in light of the digital boom,' he added.
The conference will also see the release of results of the 2nd National HR Survey, the first-of-its-kind initiative by an Indian B-school. Besides, an inter B-school quiz - Battle Hroyale - will be held. Among finalists will be teams representing leading business management institutes across the country.
The conference will also witness presentation of research papers from B-school students providing insight into social HR and the launch of Synapse, an annual magazine compiled by Sapphire.
