Fog engulfs a residential area in Morabadi, Ranchi, around 7am on Wednesday.
Autumnal morning fog made a comeback from the mists of memory in Ranchi on Tuesday and continued on Wednesday, blanketing early risers and walkers, many of whom turned amateur photographers.
Explaining weather conditions favouring fog, Ranchi Met office director BK Mandal said it was a culmination of a sudden dip in night temperatures, enough moisture on the ground and over 80 per cent night humidity.
It's a temporary phase, so enjoy it till it lasts, he advised.
Morabadi resident Ranjan Sinha, who drove this morning to his gym with headlights on, surely did.
'I had to drive carefully but it was worth it. Landmarks like Tagore Hill and Morabadi grounds looked magical in fog, which lasted well past 7.30am,' he said.
