Police have recovered both the bodies and sent them to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem, after having taken statements of the bereaved family members.

The girl, identified as Gayatri Kumari and daughter of Papa Rao, a resident of Garamnalah area in Sakchi, was missing from her house since Wednesday morning.

A missing person report was lodged by her father with the Sakchi thana in the evening.

Her body was found floating in the lake on Thursday morning.

OC, Sakchi thana, Kunal Kumar said that they have recovered a suicide note from the house of the deceased girl, who was a student of Jamshedpur Women's College.

The note said she was frustrated with her life, and had thus taken such a step.

"We have sent the body to the medical college mortuary for post-mortem," said Kumar while talking to The Telegraph Online.

The girl's brother Babu Rao said she was carrying on her classes online, but instead of paying necessary attention to the online classes, she would remain engaged in other things on her smartphone.

"My sister was not taking online classes seriously so my father had scolded her on Wednesday morning and immediately after it, she left home. We searched for her everywhere, and when we could not get any trace of her, we lodged a missing person report on Wednesday evening," said Babu Rao while talking to this website.

In the case of the 23-year-old youth Amit Singh who was found hanging at his home in Barigora, police said that the deceased’s father, Mantu Singh, was murdered in February this year.

Amit had been depressed ever since.

"Under depression, Amit had also started taking drugs. Last night he went to bed, but he didn’t answer his door in the morning despite repeated knocks by the family members. After peeping through a door hole, family members saw him hanging from the ceiling fan," said OC, Parsudih thana while talking to The Telegraph Online.

The OC, on being asked, said that Mantu Singh was bludgeoned to death while he was drunk in Sarjamda, about one kilometre away from his house, adding that investigation is on.
