Hazaribagh, Dec. 10: A government schoolteacher was arrested today after his wife was found dead in unnatural circumstances.

The lifeless body of 21-year-old Neetu Devi was found hanging from the ceiling fan at her home in Rallygarha village of Ramgarh this morning. The body was brought to the Hazaribagh sadar hospital for postmortem in the afternoon.

The girl, a resident of Gomia, married Rajesh Kumar, 26, of Daru village in Hazaribagh in 1999. The couple has a three-year-old daughter.

Doctors who performed the autopsy said Neetu was pregnant with her second child. Neetu’s brother alleged that Rajesh, a teacher at Rallygarha Government High School, tortured his sister.
