Sway to tribal beats

Tribal dancers perform at the convocation hall of Ranchi University on Wednesday, the eve of Karam festival. Tribals from 22 akharas mesmerised the audience with an array of tribal dance forms like Kuduk, Santhali and Mundari. Around 2,000 visitors, including vice chancellor of the varsity RK Pandey, attended the programme jointly organised by city-based tribal outfits Sarna Navyuvak Sangh and Central Sarna Samiti. Members of various tribal outfits will observe the festival on Thursday under the aegis of the department of tribal and regional language of Ranchi University. (Prashant Mitra)
