Selfie on freedom hill

Climb 300 steps to Pahadi Mandir or don't, The Telegraph lists all vantage spots

Post January 23, Ranchi will have a new selfie spot.

Pahadi Mandir, situated on the 493-feet Ranchi Hill at ward 30, will be hoisting a giant Tricolour atop a 293-feet-high mast on Saturday on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Union defence minister Manohar Parrikar will do the honours.

But those of you who are planning to visit the historic spot for that selfie and mandatory Facebook post will have to negotiate not only a flight of over 300 steps, but also, before that, a narrow congested lane where autos have a free run, and strays rule.

But, if you ask us, that selfie will be worth it. Chhandosree reports
