Jharkhand Red beat Jharkhand Green by six wickets in the ongoing women's Under-19 cricket tournament for JSCA Trophy at Birsa Munda Cricket Stadium in Chaibasa on Monday.
This is the second victory for the Red outfit who started their campaign by tasting success against Jharkhand Blue on the inaugural day on Saturday. A quick-fire 45 in 51 balls by Surbhi Kumari sealed the match in the favour of Red. <>She scored the runs off 51 balls and struck five boundaries and a six to help her team attain the soft target of 111 set by the Green outfit.
Divya Barwa complemented Surbhi's effort with an unbeaten 31 (6 balls, 6x4) as the Red eves reached the target with six wickets to spare in 21.1 overs.
Surabhi was adjudged Woman of the Match.
Earlier, electing to bat first, Jharkhand Green couldn't put much runs on the board thanks to some disciplined bowling by their opponents.
Anamika Kumari top scored with 21 while Rashmi Gudia managed 22. Ritu Kumari bagged the maximum three wickets for Jharkhand Red while Ishrani Soren, Priti Priya and Anjali Das picked up two wickets each.
Jharkhand Red will take on the Blue in Tuesday's outing.
