Ranchi, Feb. 18: “Aishwarya, Abhishek is younger to you. Why did you still choose him over others? Is it because of his family ? Aishwarya (tossing his hair) gracefully replies: “Love knows no age . You just fall in love naturally.”

On the second day of JINKS ’07 at the National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology (NIFFT), youths, posed as their favourite personalities, faced a volley of wacky to serious posers from audiences as a part of Allegations and Clarifications — the day’s first event.

Like Aishwarya (played by Saumitra Shukla), Chandan playing Mallika Sherawat and Manish Shukla were the crowd favourites, as they faced the strangest volley of questions with ease.

However, Sunday morning onwards, poetry was the flavour of the day and in the air. Probably, a hangover from Saturday evening’s event kavya sammelan— self-composed shayari to famous couplets were doing the rounds on the “lyrical” grounds of the institute, as it hosted a plethora of events.

Men were proposing in rhythmic verses, while they were being rejected (or accepted) equally lyrically by the girls. From Informalz to Rangoli to the Dumb Charades, it was a great day to be at NIFFT and a fantastic crowd made all events instant hits.

But, it was not all play for the students, as some of them attended a lecture presented by Ravi Prakash Sehgal, the managing director of Carnations Industries Limited and National Treasurer, Indian Institute of Foundry.

Then it was quickly back to music, masti and adda all over again. And the choreography event that capped the day’s performances was more than a fitting and glittering end to a fabulous day.
