Ranchi, Dec. 9: The state unit of Bank of India Pensioners' and Retirees' Association will organise an inter-school sports meet at Bishop Westcott Boys' School at Namkum in Ranchi on Sunday.

General secretary of the outfit Debasish Sengupta, in a news meet today, said the daylong meet would see participation of nine boys' and seven girls' teams. Around 150 students are expected to take part in the tournament.

Besides high jump and long jump, events like 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m sprint will be there. The schools that will take part in the meet are Bishop School, St John's School, JVM-Shyamali, Oxford School and both the boys and girls sections of Bishop Westcott School and DAV Public School, Gandhinagar and Hehal.

Bank of India will provide sponsor the event while Bishop Westcott Boys' School will provide logistic support, Sengupta said. An awareness campaign for cashless transaction will also be organised at the venue.
