Several colleges under Ranchi University began issuing of admission forms for intermediate and undergraduate courses from Monday while others promised to do so soon. There are around 19 affiliated and 15 constituent colleges under RU across Ranchi, Simdega and Gumla districts.

This time, many colleges have also begun offering forms online.

Ranchi Women's College

Forms: For intermediate, sales to continue till June-end; online sales from June 7. Date for sale of UG forms yet to be announced

Cost: Rs 500 for general and Rs 400 for reserved categories

Seats: 640 each in arts, science and commerce

Exam: No entrance test. Merit list on the basis of matric results

 

Marwari College

Forms: Sale between 10pm-2pm on campus; online from next week

Cost: Rs 400 for undergraduate courses, Rs 500 for vocational courses

Seats: 500 each in arts and commerce, 600 each in science across various disciplines

Exam: Last week of June

Cut-off: minimum 45 per cent, merit to be prepared on the basis of entrance test results

 

Doranda College

Forms: For intermediate and UG courses, sales on campus and online from June 15

Cost: Rs 300 for intermediate, Rs 400 for UG and Rs 500 for vocational courses

Seats: 1,400 seats in arts, 640 each in science and commerce and intermediate. In undergraduate, 400 in arts, 200 in science and 1,000 in commerce. Also, 100 seats each in around half a dozen vocational courses

Exam: No entrance test. Merit list to be prepared on the basis of past results

 

Ranchi College

Forms: For UG course, sales launched on campus and online

Cost: For pass UG and PG courses, Rs 200 for general category and Rs 150 for reserved. For vocational courses, Rs 500 for general category at UG level and Rs 1,000 for PG level; for reserved category Rs 300 at UG level and Rs 500 at PG level

Seats: Varies according to courses. In vocational studies, anywhere between 80-100. For honours courses, between 100-200 in arts and science depending on the subject.

Exam: Online tests for BScIT, MBA, BBA, MCA, MscIT, dates notified in prospectus

 

Gossner College

Forms: Only online, except for pass courses

Cost: Rs 600

Seats: Proposal to continue with 640 seats in each discipline awaiting Jharkhand Academic Council

Exam: Entrance test only for english and vocational course, dates to be announced later.
