Jamshedpur, Jan. 16: Poll personnel for the Assembly election will be deputed in the respective polling stations through random sample technique.
East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Sunil Kumar Burnwal told The Telegraph, ?Special chief electoral officer has cross-checked the programming technique of the NIC officials in the district.?
?The district has already prepared the list of over 6,000 poll personnel required during the elections. They would be assigned the booths depending on the computer generated random sample technique,? he added.
The State Election Commission has directed the district election officers-cum-deputy commissioners of all the districts to update the sample datas of required number of poll personnel. The data will be feed on the districts? National Informatics Centres (NIC).
Sudhir Tripathi, special chief electoral officer of the State Election Commission today visited East Singhbhum district to supervise the preparations.
Tripathi visited the NIC and held a meeting with the deputy commissioner, deputy election officer and in-charge of district?s NIC cell.
The final deputation of poll personnel would be done only in the presence of central election observers.
Burnwal said, ?Data structure on the deputation of poll personnel has already been feed. The poll personnel would be allotted the polling booths in the presence of central observers for each Assembly constituency.?
In each booth, presiding officers and three polling officers will be deputed on the polling day.
The presiding officers and polling officers number I, II and III would be deputed depending on their grade and payscale, said district officials.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) special observer for the state, A.C. Shukla. Shukla visited the district on Saturday. He visited some of the constituency areas and sensitive polling stations under six Assembly segments of the district.
He also held a meeting with East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Sunil Kumar Burnwal.
One central observer each for the six Assembly segment, one general and one accounts observer are also expected in the first week of February.
