Ramdev in Ranchi

• Yoga guru Ramdev on Sunday met chief minister Raghubar Das and governor Droupadi Murmu in Ranchi. According to sources, Ram-dev told Das about his intention to set up a Patanjali unit in Jharkhand.

Burns deaths

• One Sunita Soren and her husband Unnis Lal Hansda succumbed to burns while their five-year-old child was admitted to hospital after a fire broke out in their house at Matiyani village in Godda district, around 400km from Ranchi, on Sunday.

CM meet

• CM Raghubar Das will attend the BJP workers' meet in Khunti on Monday before heading to Simdega to interact with the public under Sarkar Aapke Dwar scheme.

• State rural development minister Neelkanth Singh Munda on Sunday launched the Mukhyamantri Sakhi Mandal Smartphone Yojana in Khunti district.

Demise

• Savitri Devi, mother of state information commissioner Himanshu Shekhar Choudhary, passed away at a Ranchi hospital on Sunday. Her last rites will take place at Sultanganj on Monday.
