Ranchi: Police on Sunday arrested two PLFI rebels from Khunti district's Murhu thana area and seized arms and ammunition.

On Saturday night, Khunti SP Ashwini Kumar Sinha was tipped off that PLFI zonal commander Prabhu Sahay Bodra was camping in Murhu area. He formed special teams to corner them from different sides.

Though Bodra escaped, his close aides Mata Bahanda and Ilisiya Hassa Purty (female) were caught on Sunday. Police later recovered three double-barrel guns, a country-made pistol, cartridges, a walkie-tal-kie, PLFI pamphlets and letter heads, combat uniforms, backpacks, blankets, mats and other items of daily use on them.

"Our search will continue," SP Sinha said.
