LOVE CLICKS: A newly married couple takes a selfie during a mass marriage ceremony at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium at Hotwar mega sports complex in Ranchi on Sunday while (below) chief minister Raghubar Das blesses brides at the event.

Some 351 couples - 251 tribal and 100 non-tribal - were joined in holy matrimony at the event organised by Kendriya Sarna Samiti.

While a pahan solemnised tribal weddings, a pundit did the honours for the non-tribal couples, said Bablu Munda, a senior office-bearer of the Sarna outfit.

Starting from 11am, the ceremonies went on for over two hours, followed by a festive lunch.

The chief minister, in his address, urged tribal communities to strengthen the Sarna organisation. He also added that his government was committed to working for the integrated growth of tribals.
