Jamshedpur: The city unit of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) will take part in an anti-BJP rally at Morahbadi ground in Ranchi on December 14.

According to Firoz Khan, member of the state council, thousands of RJD activists would leave for the state capital on the morning of December 14.

Jamshedpur: Tata Steel Inter-divisional Athletics Championship kicked-off at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Wednesday. The meet was inaugurated by A.B. Baizal, vice-president, raw materials and iron making,

Tata Steel.

Nine divisions of the Tata Steel major, including Shared Services, General Offices, Long Products, Profit Centre, Flat Products, Mines division, West Bokaro, Jamadoba and SCI, are participating in the tournament, which has been orgainsed by the sports department of Tata Steel. The meet will conclude on December 12.

ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ

Jamshedpur: The Cricket Association of Jharkhand (CAJ) Inter-school League Tournament would begin in the city from Wednesday. According to CAJ spokesperson Jittu Patel, 11 teams would take part in the A division league and 20 teams would take part in the B division league. Patel said the matches would be played at Armoury, XLRI, College and Telco grounds.

ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ

Jamshedpur: The matriculation examination for 2004 would be held from February 25 to March 10, while the intermediate exam would start from 11 March. The dates were decided at a meeting of the examination committee of Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) in Ranchi on Tuesday. The meeting was presided over by JAC president Saligram Yadav.

Jamshedpur: The economics department of Jamshedpur Cooperative College (JCC) on Wednesday organised a seminar on liberal economic policy and Indian economic system. V.K. Singh, the convener of the seminar and an economics professor, said three students of the department presented their special papers on the seminar topic.
