“There are about 72 evaluation centres across the state. We shall start the evaluation process from March 20,” JAC secretary Mahip Kumar Singh said on Saturday.

The East Singhbhum district education department has identified eight centres where the evaluation would be carried out.

So far, Bharat Sevashram Uchcha Vidyalaya in Sonari, Jamshedpur High School; BPM High School, Burmamines and Gurunanak High School in Sakchi have been identified as the evaluation centres for intermediate answer scripts.

St Joseph High School in Golmuri, Saradamani Girls High School in Sakchi, DBMS High School in Kadma and ADL Society Jigh School in Kadma will serve as the evaluation centres for matric papers.

More than 100 teachers in East Singhbhum ought to get engaged in the evaluation work that will continue for about 10-15 days.

“Teachers will have to check 30-40 copies per day. Each centre will have a static magistrate and a five-member police team to ensure security. There will be representatives from JAC as well,” an official from the East Singhbhum education department said.
