Jamshedpur: The JFC on Sunday launched ticket sales for the maiden season of Indian Super League (ISL) at JRD Tata Sports Complex in Bistupur.

Tata Steel managing director T.V. Narendran unveiled the first ticket in the presence of football franchise chairman Sunil Bhaskaran, its CEO Mukul Choudhari and head coach Stephen James Coppell, and a crowd of 6,000 sports fans participating in the annual Run-a-thon. The club also announced Kyazoonga as its official ticketing partner.

"After having been involved with the game of football for such a long time, launching a team in the ISL was the logical progression for us. With this ticket launch, we are a step closer to that goal," Narendran said.

JFC will play their first home match on December 1 against Atletico de Kolkata. While online tickets are already available, offline will be sold by November 17.

Tickets for home ties have been made affordable at Rs 50, Rs 150 and Rs 240. While there are 8,000 tickets at Rs 50 up for grabs in the north and south stands, there are 9,000 tickets priced at Rs 150 for upper tiers of east and west stands. Those wanting to watch the games from lower tiers of east and west stands, which have bucket seats, there are 4,500 tickets available for Rs 240 each.

Besides these pocket-friendly entry tickets, there are 300 more priced at Rs 2,500 each for the premier hospitality section at the west stands of the 24,000-capacity stadium.

Net-savvy football buffs have started booking tickets at kyazoonga.com/jamshedpurfc. City-based football promoters Sagar Mukhi, Balu Mukhi and Md Kalim were among first to get their seats reserved.

Offline tickets will be sold from La Gravitea (2 CH Area North, opposite Jamshedpur Rifle Club), three outlets of Bikers Point at Sakchi (Yash Plaza on NH-33, and SNP Area and Kalimati Road in Sakchi) and Jay Pee Sports (G7 Kali Tower, Lalpur Chowk) in Ranchi. Tickets will also be available at counters at JRD Tata complex. Fans can pay cash and get their bookings done from multiple retail partners in Jamshedpur and its neighbouring areas.

"I was eagerly waiting for the (ticket) launch. I have booked my tickets online and am looking forward to watching all the nine matches at home," said Prateek Kumar Jha, a Kadma resident and private firm employee.
