Ranchi, Feb. 6: He began at the state level, then became a national champ. Now Sunil Kispotta a karate ace, wishes to make his foray into Bollywood.
The 22-year-old Kispotta is a well-known figure who runs his own training academy where more than 25 men and women train. He also works in a number of schools, teaching students the nuances of an art that demands strength, stamina and discipline.
As Kispotta says: ?Getting a black belt is no mean task. In every batch there are 60 per cent who quit before the training ends,? and he should know, as he is a black belt holder himself.
His tryst with the martial art began when he was just eight years old. Though Kispotta steadfastly pursued his passion, he did not ignore his studies. At present he is doing his masters in economics from the Ranchi University. Not satisfied with merely resting on his laurels, the young man is the vice-president of the Indian School of Martial Art and he has acted in some feature films as well.
He has acted in his senior?s, Vimal Anand Nag, film The Indian Ninja based on Karate Kid.
The story revolved around a student-teacher relationship where the student avenges the death of his teacher. Kispotta till date had acted in several films, including Jharkhand Ka Hero Number 1, Birsa Munda ? The Iron Man and Intezar, a documentary made on the life of a newspaper hawker.
The film was screened during the first Media workshop organised recently in the capital where Prakash Jha was the guest of honour.
