Patna: Hrithik Roshan is likely to visit Patna later this year to get a feel of the functioning of Super 30, whose founder the Bollywood star will be playing in a film.

The film, a biographical sketch of Anand Kumar, the founder of the initiative to provide free coaching for IIT and engineering entrance examinations to poor, meritorious students, is scheduled to release on November 23 this year.

Hrithik will be playing Anand in the film.

"Hrithik has expressed desire to visit Patna at least once as he wants to see the place from where Super 30 runs and how the family members of Anand take part in this work," said a source associated with the film. "He also wants to see Anand in action in the classroom. The dates for the actor's visit to the Bihar capital are being finalised."

Anand started Super 30 in 2002, which has sent 396 of its students to IITs and other engineering colleges. The selected students stay with Anand and also get food for free during their stay.

Hrithik has started doing his homework for playing Anand.

"Hrithik's team members keep on visiting Super 30 these days and shoot videos of Anand when he takes class" said the source. "The videos are sent to the actor who sees the style of teaching of the Super 30 founder and also his writing style on the blackboard, etc."

Hrithik, the source said, was learning the basics of Magahi, Anand's mother tongue and has grown a beard like Anand.

The shooting of the film is likely to commence in the last week of January. The first few scenes will be shot in Varanasi.

"Anand used to frequent the banks of the Ganga during his early days and to depict that we are planning to shoot the scenes in Varanasi," said the source.

Some scenes will also be shot at the Banaras Hindu University, which Anand used to frequent when his younger brother Pranav was studying here.

The idea of making a biographical film on the Super 30 founder was doing the rounds since 2016 and prior to the formal announcement about the film, director Vikash Bahl and writer Sanjeev Dutta had several rounds of meetings with Anand. An agreement was finally signed with Anand in September last year for making the film.
