Jamshedpur, Jan. 13: Unfazed by threats from Prakash Jaju, former manager of Mumbai-based actress Priyanka Chopra, her grandfather M.K. Akhauri, has decided to teach the accused a lesson. Akhauri is a resident of the steel city.

Taking a tough stand on threats by Jaju claiming that the actress owed him Rs 37 lakh, Akhauri lodged a complaint in the local civil court against the accused.

Akhauri has named three people, including Priyanka Chopra, as witness in the case. According to Akhauri, he received two threat calls from Jaju ? first in November and the second in December last year.

?The first time, the person did not disclose his name. He only said my grand-daughter has violated the terms of contract with him and is liable to pay Rs 37 lakh,? Akhauri said.

When the person called in December, he introduced himself as Prakash Jaju, former manager of Priyanka.

?The caller said according to the contract, he was supposed to get five per cent of her annual income and six months? notice before his job was terminated. He said according to the contract, Priyanka is liable to pay Rs 37 lakh as she did not serve six months notice before terminating her job,? Akhauri said, adding that the caller threatened of dire consequences if Priyanka failed to pay the dues.

The actress? grandfather said Jaju had even tried to create problems at Bombay lodging case against Priyanka at Bombay High Court.

?When he lost the case against Priyanka for payment of dues according to the service contract he started making threat calls,? Akhauri added. Appearing before the court of first class judicial magistrate V.K. Singh, here on Wednesday, he said he had lodged the case only after the accused called him for the second time threatening with dire consequences.

?When he called me the first time on November 22, I called up Priyanka to find if there was any problem in Bombay. I came to know that Priyanka?s former manager used to give threatening calls to her and even lodge case in the Bombay High Court.
