Jamshedpur, May 23: Couples whose marriages are on the rocks may be able to come to a solution without facing the courts.

Ranjeet Singh, the CEO of shaadijunction.com, has another portal for the city ? divorcejunction.org. The website, which will be launched on Thursday, is a subsidiary of shaadijunction.com. It only caters to divorce and marriage-related problems.

According to Singh, the purpose of launching this divorce specific website is to help couples to solve their problems through counselling. ?The aim of the website is to create a platform where couples can sort out problems without going to court,? said Singh.

The district administration, police officers, lawyers and marriage counsellors will soon come together to give advice to couples whose marriages are in trouble.

Singh blamed a lack of experienced marriage counsellors for couples going directly to family courts. He said that it created bad blood among families. He felt that there was a need to launch the website so that couples did not have to face the ordeal of making umpteen rounds at the court.

The CEO said that the idea of launching such a portal came to him when he found that nearly 20 per cent of the existing database were cases where marriages were on the rocks.

?The portal will provide free counselling to couples with marital problems,' he said, adding that while shaadijunction.com is solely a profit-making venture, divorcejunction.org will be strictly a 100 per cent non-profit venture.

The details regarding the specifications of the website such as the team involved would be only be divulged on the day of the launch. The parent portal shaadijunction.com would also be re-launched the same day with a new look and additions.

Singh said the main reason leading to divorce is personal incompatibility related to personality, dowry, inability to bear children and incompatibility between the families of the bride and groom primarily contribute to the divorce rate in the country which has seen a significant increase.
