What changes have you noticed in recent years in terms of people coming in to learn driving?

Knowing how to drive is definitely essential today. Everybody is showing an interest in driving and is eager to learn the technicalities. People now want to drive their own car.

Which age group is more keen to learn driving?

People of all age groups enroll, though I would say that more women are coming forward to learn driving today.

They want to become independent and self-reliant. Women in the age group of 20 to 30 are the most eager to learn driving while youngsters have always been enthusiastic about learning to drive. Younger people with quick reflexes learn driving faster compared to their elder counterparts.

Any specific area in the city that has a large number of driving enthusiasts?

There is no specific area from which people enroll to learn driving. But, there has certainly been an surge in people eager to learn driving. People come in from all places though the newly-developed apartments see a slight more representation in terms of enthusiasts coming forward.

What are the cars used to train learners?

Anybody who can drive a Maruti 800 can drive all other bigger cars such as Zen, Santro and Baleno to name a few. There are two professional courses where people learn to drive jeeps and buses. With the formation of Jharkhand, there has also been a demand for trained drivers. With many more industries being set up in the state, there has also been an increase in demand for skilled drivers.
