We would like to introduce people to the pleasures of drinking freshly-roasted coffee,” said Ronald D’Costa, the owner of the café, who trained in Kaaapi Shastra, a coffee appreciation course in November last year.

He added that snacks would also be served at the café, which would remain open till 11 pm.

D’Costa added that the café’s target group was the city’s youth. “The cafe would be committed to the youth,'' he added. The interiors of the cafe will be done up in vibrant colours and modern lines lending it a trendy look,” D’Costa said.

He added that the cafe would also have a state-of-the-art touch screen digital juke box, where customers can play music of their choice by shelling out Rs 5.

Cappuccino, Cafelatte, Irish Vegan Shake (cent per cent vegetarian coffee made from extract of soyabean sauce), Cafe Mocah (chocolate-blended), Mochachillo, Capachillo, Tropical Iceberg (chocolate flavour), Arabian Heights (pure cold coffee), Ice Eskimo (cardimum flavour) and Cafee Trapple (ice-cream-blended), will be some of the popular blends on the menu.

“The minimum and maximum price will range from Rs 12 to Rs 40. One can also avail of the take-away facility at Rs 12. Coffee would be served in special cups which would keep the brew steaming for over half-an-hour,” he said.

The high-end varieties would include global varieties like Kenyan Safari, Columbian Coffee, Hawaiian Aloha and Quaka Coffee, Pandey said.
