Chakradharpur, Oct. 3: In the second round of the 15th National Chess Championship (under 17) today, Jharkhand boy Deep Sengupta, along with nine players of other states, scored double points. In the girls? category, Ramaya Krishna of Andhra Pradhesh, too, scored double points.

Jharkhand is hosting the national chess championship for the first time. Deep Sengupta defeated K. Prasanna of Andhra Pradesh today. Yesterday, Sengupta defeated Nerag Khera of Punjab.
