Boys go slam dunk!

It was time for boys to blaze the concrete courts as the Jamshedpur Old Girls and Guys Association (Jogga) Inter-school Basketball Championship unfolded at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in the right earnest on Thursday.

It was time for boys to blaze the concrete courts as the Jamshedpur Old Girls and Guys Association (Jogga) Inter-school Basketball Championship unfolded at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in the right earnest on Thursday.

If DBMS English High School, St Mary's Hindi High School, Mount Littera, St Mary's English School, Delhi Public School (DPS) and Kerala Samajam Public School (Burmamanines) started on a winning note in the junior section, Carmel Junior College, Narbheram Hansraj English School, Kerala Public School (Kadma), Govind Vidyalaya, DAV Public School (Bistupur) and Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS) stitched up wins in the senior group.

DBMS English High School posted a 6-0 win over KPS (Mango), while St Mary's Hindi steamrolled DBMS (Kadma) 20-2 in the other junior tie. Mount Littera, on the other hand, beat DAV (Bistupur) 8-2 even as Delhi Public School overcame DBMS English High School 13-8.

The other junior encounters saw KPS (Burmamines) drubbing Govind Vidyalaya 16-0 and St Mary's English thrashing Mount Littera 14-0. DPS scripted 14-3 win over KPS (Mango).

St Mary's Hindi High School seniors claimed a comfortable 22-2 win over DPS while Carmel put it across Motilal Nehru Public School 11-5. Narbheram English High School overcame stiff resistance from DPS before prevailing 22-19.

In other senior section matches, KPS (Kadma) tripped DBMS Career Academy 16-11 even as Govind Vidyalaya trounced KPS (Mango) 17-1. DAV (Bistupur) also tasted 16-9 success versus DBMS (Kadma) while KSMS posted an easy 17-6 win over DPS.
