Dashing southpaw Saurabh Tiwary exchanges garlands with Nikita Mishra at United Club in Jamshedpur on Thursday.

Solemnised according to traditional Hindu rituals in the presence of Saurabh's and Nikita's relatives, wedding revelries started earlier with a lavish band- baja-baraat from his home at Vijaya Gardens in Baridih to the venue via Sakchi.

The former state Ranji skipper, who has played three ODIs for Team India, clad in an embellished ivory sherwani, was seen smiling as his parents Sunil and Kanaklata Tiwary, sisters Kavita and Nidhi, and a host of relatives and friends danced and clapped their way in the three-hour procession.

Waiting for him was bride Nikita, his childhood sweetheart and BTech from Allahabad University, who looked radiant in traditional red and maroon.

The reception of the batsman was held at Tube Makers' Club in Nildih on Friday evening.

Cricketers, politicians, corporate, officials of East Singhbhum district administration, officials and members of Jharkhand State Cricket Association as well as Saurabh's colleagues from the Tata Steel sports wing blessed the newlyweds.
