When it comes to tackling mind-boggling questions, there’s no beating the young learners of Bokaro.
Seven students from Bokaro notched top positions in science, math and cyber Olympiads, the results of which were declared on Monday, with DPS-Bokaro boasting the lion’s share of six winners.
Capital Ranchi also has a reason to be proud as three students from its cradles have made it to the cyber Olympiad’s rank list. One student each from De-Nobili Dhanbad and DAV-Deoghar also found a place among the toppers of the science Olympiad.
Arna Ghosh of DPS School-Bokaro stole the limelight by coming first in the 14th National Science Olympiad. He shared the position with Chinmaya School-Bokaro’s Shekhar Swarup and De-Nobili Dhanbad’s Ayush Mukherjee. Aryan and Ashish Harshvardhan, both of the same school, were second. The third position went to Apurva Anand of Geeta Devi-DAV, Deoghar.
An elated Arna said: “I want to get into IIT, but ultimately I want to serve the nation as a scientist.”
DPS-Bokaro again shone in the International Mathematics Olympiad with the only student from Jharkhand to bag a rank being A. Harshvardhan, who came second.
The other students who brought laurels to the school are Ashish Akshat and Akash Kumar, both came third in the National Cyber Olympiad. Ranchi’s Savysachi Bannerjee (St Thomas) and Rajrashi Khan (DPS) stood first. Another capital student, Pranjal Prasoon of Jawahar Vidya Mandir, shared the third slot.
