Jamshedpur, Sept. 23: To observe International Blood Donation Day on October 1, the city will organise a Run for Life on its eve.

And the city is all geared up make the run, the first of its kind in the city, successful in garnering mass support for promoting blood donations.

Today?s meeting, chaired by the deputy commissioner, Nitin Madan Kulkarni, was attended by the members of over 40 social organisations and several corporate houses. The run will start from three different points. The first from Bistupur KMPM Inter College, second from Sakchi based Kerala Samajam Model School and third from Bal Bharati High school.

?This year the venue will be same but we are targeting 500 blood donors ,?informed Vijay Kumar Singh, senior functionary of Jamshedpur chapter of Indian Red Cross Society.
