Ranchi, Oct. 2: The BJP today urged its workers to step-up their campaign against the alleged erroneous policies of the Congress-led Union government and asked its cadres to work towards the success of party stalwart L.K. Advani’s Jharkhand tour that is tentatively scheduled to take place on October 21.

Condemning, the horde of corruption charges that are dogging the UPA, BJP state president Dineshanand Goswami told his workers that the country was looking for a change.

“The country is passing through a very crucial stage. The names of the Prime Minister and the home minister figure in corruption cases. The masses are looking up to us with great expectations,” Goswami said while addressing a gathering.

He added that the recommendation of the Planning Commission indicated that the poor were set to face more miseries in the coming days.

“Gandhiji launched a satyagraha movement to cleanse public life during the colonial rule. More recently, when Anna Hazare tried to do the same to wipe out corruption, he was sent to jail. Adavaniji’s rath yatra will give a new twist to the power politics of the country,” Goswami said.

He added that Advani would try and cover maximum ground during his rath-yatra on road. However, there are certain places, which cannot be accessed by road.

Ironically, Advani and his team will fly to Ranchi via Calcutta on October 21 to evoke mass consciousness about rampant corruption and pitiable condition of the poor of the state.
