Jamshedpur, Nov. 30: Bhojpuri cine stars have pledged support to the recent campaign Raj Thackeray Ka Ilaaj: Lets Fight Back launched by city portal www.bhojpuria.com.

The website requests visitors to lodge an FIR against Raj Thackeray’s anti-North Indian tirade. So far, 111 visitors have responded to the plea.

Two Bhojpuri stars, Bipin Bihari and Manoj Mishra Mihir have lent support to the campaign and have claimed they would do all possible to stand up against Thackeray.

While speaking to The Telegraph over the phone from Mumbai, Bihari claimed that the entire Bhojpuri film industry is trying to raise its voice against the recent killings in Maharashtra.

Manoj Mishra Mihir, who played the lead in the recent release Mera Rang De Basanti Chola has already filed an FIR against Thackeray in Gorakhpur and hopes people do the same in Poorvanchal.

Claiming that more people would join in the portal’s campaign, the managing director of bhojpuria.com, Sudhir Kumar, said: “More big names from the Bhojpuri film industry would also join us soon.”
