Ranchi, April 14: When Kishore Victor started his guitar riff, heads started banging. Soon Daniel Abraham followed with his drum solo and all the Gossner College grounds was charged up.

The college students today rocked with Chennai-based rock band Armageddon as they belted out 12 self-composed numbers.

The foursome — Victor, lead guitarist and vocalist, Rajkumar on keyboard, John Michael on base guitar and Abraham on drum — sang their popular numbers that left the crowd wanting for more. The theme of today’s rock show was Let’s say no to drugs which was synonymous with the songs that Armageddon sang today.

The band is not new to the city as they have already rocked the city music lovers when they played at Hotel Capitol Hill last year.

Victor said that his band was formed in 1997 and they played for the college youths. “We play for the young crowd that is amply proved by the lingo we use. The songs composed by us deals with the evils of the society,” he said.

The band had released two music albums Written offs and Divine Vision and is on its way to release the third. “We will release our next album Moving Along soon. Our first two received overwhelming response,” he said.

A college student, Rajan Singh, said “Rock culture is fast catching up with the city and we are lucky to have such a band here.”
