Jamshedpur, April 21: Two of the 20 persons, who suffered burn injuries when a cooking gas cylinder burst yesterday, succumbed to their injuries this morning.
The deceased, Shivani Das and Durga Rani Pal, were among the five critically burnt patients who were shifted to the Tata Main Hospital’s burn care centre from MGM Medical College Hospital last evening.
The condition of the remaining three patients in the TMH’s burn care unit, of the 20 who suffered burn injuries, is described as critical.
The condition of those admitted to the medical college hospital is, however, stated to be out of danger.
Twenty persons were burnt when a cooking gas cylinder burst at the residence Ajit Das in Bagun Nagar area under Sidhgora police station.
Police have registered a case under various sections, including that of keeping inflammable material in the house against Ajit Das.
The case was registered on the complaint lodged by the Bagun Nagar Thana out-post in-charge Samiullah Khan.
