Odisha gets flights to Singapore and Bangkok, to be operated by IndiGo airlines

In order to ensure that IndiGo continues with its service uninterruptedly, the Odisha government agreed to bear the costs of unsold tickets

Odisha will have direct flights from Bhubaneswar to Singapore and Bangkok from Saturday.

The direct flights will be operated by IndiGo and available on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

There is an introductory offer of Rs 15,000 per round trip.

In order to ensure that IndiGo continues with its service uninterruptedly, the Odisha government agreed to bear the costs of unsold tickets.

In the current budget, Odisha has made an allocation of Rs 100 crore to support the viability gap funding.

Bhubaneswar has been directly connected to Dubai since May 15 with IndiGo operating its flight.

Odisha is hopeful that these international flightswill promote trade and tourism.
